Fojnica
Fojnica is a town in central Bosnia and Herzegovina, west of Sarajevo. In the Middle Ages it was a mining and trading centre where Saxon miners worked silver and lead, linked to the merchants of Ragusa. Its Franciscan monastery keeps the Ahdnama, the charter of protection granted to the Bosnian Franciscans by Mehmed II in 1463, and a noted heraldic roll, the Fojnica Armorial.
