Franchino Rusca
Franchino Rusca was the head of the Ghibelline Rusca family and lord of Como in the early 14th century, after long struggles with the Guelph Vittani. He also gained control of other towns in the region. In 1335, under pressure from Milan, he surrendered Como to Azzone Visconti, and the city became part of the Visconti state.
