Frascati
Frascati is a town in the Alban Hills about 20 kilometres south-east of Rome. It grew below the ancient city of Tusculum, and after Rome destroyed Tusculum in 1191 its refugees are said to have settled there. From the late 16th century cardinals and Roman nobles built great country houses on its slopes, such as the Villa Aldobrandini, and the town is also known for its white wine.
