Frostating
The Frostating was the medieval law assembly for Trøndelag in central Norway, meeting on the Frosta peninsula in the Trondheimsfjord. Its law code, the Frostating Law, traditionally associated with Haakon the Good, is one of the main sources for early Norwegian law. It served the region until Magnus the Lawmender's national code of 1274, and the name survives in the Frostating Court of Appeal.
