Germani Cisrhenani
The Germani Cisrhenani were a group of peoples living west of the Rhine in the Ardennes and Meuse region whom Julius Caesar called Germani. They included the Eburones, Condrusi, Caeroesi, Paemani and Segni. Caesar met them during his Gallic campaigns of 57 to 53 BCE, and their name may lie behind the later general term Germani.
