Ghositarama
The Ghositarama was a Buddhist monastery at Kaushambi, the capital of Vatsa in northern India, said to have been given to the Buddha's community by the banker Ghosita. Buddhist texts record that the Buddha stayed there several times. Excavations at Kaushambi in the 1950s identified its remains, with monastic buildings and stupas used from the last centuries BCE until the early medieval period.
