Gia Long Code
The Gia Long Code, officially Hoàng Việt luật lệ, was the legal code of the Nguyen dynasty, promulgated by Emperor Gia Long in 1815. Closely modelled on the code of the Qing dynasty, it replaced the Lê code and organised criminal, administrative and family law in about four hundred articles. It remained in force, with amendments, until the French colonial period.
