Gilukhipa

fl. 14th century BCE · 14th century BCE

Gilukhipa was a Mitanni princess, daughter of King Shuttarna II, who was sent to Egypt to marry Pharaoh Amenhotep III in his tenth regnal year, around 1380 BCE. A commemorative scarab records her arrival with 317 women of her household. The marriage sealed the alliance between Egypt and Mitanni, and her niece Tadukhipa later followed her to the Egyptian court.
