Grafschaft Bentheim
Grafschaft Bentheim is a district in the south-west of Lower Saxony, Germany, on the Dutch border, with Nordhorn as its seat. It corresponds largely to the former County of Bentheim, which passed to the Kingdom of Hanover in 1815 and to Prussia in 1866. The area is known for Bentheim sandstone and close ties with the neighbouring Netherlands, and many of its people belong to the Reformed Church.
