Grossmünster

c. 1100–1220 · 12th century · Also known as Grossmuenster

The Grossmünster is a Romanesque church in Zürich, by tradition founded on the graves of the city's patron saints Felix and Regula, with twin towers that are a landmark of the city. Built mainly between about 1100 and 1220 as a collegiate church, it became the centre of the Swiss Reformation when Huldrych Zwingli was its preacher from 1519.
