Guhila dynasty
The Guhilas were a Rajput dynasty that ruled Mewar in southern Rajasthan from the seventh century, first from Nagda and Ahar as feudatories of larger powers and later from Chittor. After Alauddin Khalji took Chittor in 1303 the main line ended, and the Sisodia branch under Hammir Singh restored the dynasty around 1326; its descendants ruled Mewar, later Udaipur State, until 1949.
