Sisodia

Also known as Sisodia Rajputs, Sisodia dynasty

The Sisodia are a Rajput clan that ruled the kingdom of Mewar, with capitals at Chittorgarh and later Udaipur, from the 14th century until 1947. A branch of the earlier Guhila dynasty, they were famous for their long resistance to the Delhi Sultanate and the Mughals under rulers such as Rana Kumbha and Maharana Pratap. Several other princely houses claimed descent from them.
