The Sisodias are a Rajput clan, a branch of the Guhila dynasty named after the village of Sisoda, that ruled Mewar from the recovery of Chittor by Hammir Singh around 1326 until 1949. Its rulers, among them Rana Kumbha, Rana Sanga and Maharana Pratap, reigned from Chittor and later Udaipur and became famous for their long resistance to the Delhi Sultanate and the Mughals.
