Haft Lang
The Haft Lang is one of the two main divisions of the Bakhtiari tribal confederation of south-western Iran, the other being the Chahar Lang. From the 19th century its leading families, descended from Hossein Qoli Khan, supplied the ilkhans, or paramount chiefs, of the whole confederation. Haft Lang khans led the Bakhtiari forces that took Tehran for the Constitutionalists in 1909 and held shares in the oil found on their lands.
