Haihaya
The Haihayas were an ancient clan of Indian tradition, described in the Puranas and the Mahabharata as a branch of the Yadus ruling from Mahishmati on the Narmada. Their most famous legendary king, Kartavirya Arjuna, was slain by Parashurama. Several medieval dynasties, notably the Kalachuris of Tripuri and Ratanpur, claimed Haihaya descent, and the name was later used for the rajas of Chhattisgarh.
