Håkon Eiriksson

d. c. 1029 · 11th century · Also known as Haakon Ericsson

Håkon Eiriksson was the last Earl of Lade, a grandson of Håkon Sigurdsson. He ruled part of Norway with his uncle Sweyn from 1012 until Olaf Haraldsson drove him out in 1015. Cnut the Great restored him as regent of Norway in 1028, but he drowned in a shipwreck around 1029 and the line of the earls of Lade ended.
