Haojing
Haojing, or Hao, was the main capital of the Western Zhou dynasty, founded by King Wu on the east bank of the Feng River south-west of present-day Xi'an. With Fengjing on the opposite bank it formed the Zhou royal centre, known as Zongzhou. In 771 BCE the Marquis of Shen and the Quanrong sacked it and killed King You, and the court moved east to Luoyi, beginning the Eastern Zhou.
