Hasankeyf
Hasankeyf, medieval Hisn Kayfa, is an ancient town on the Tigris in south-eastern Turkey. It was the seat of the Artuqids from 1102 and of a branch of the Ayyubids from 1232 into the 15th century, who built its great bridge, mosques and palaces. Much of the old town was flooded by the Ilısu Dam in 2020 after some monuments were moved.
