Hatuniye Madrasa

1382 · 14th century · Also known as Hatuniye Medrese

The Hatuniye Madrasa is a theological college in Karaman, central Anatolia, completed in 1382. It was founded by Nefise Sultan, a daughter of the Ottoman sultan Murad I and wife of the Karamanid ruler Alaeddin Bey. Its richly carved marble portal makes it one of the finest buildings of the Karamanid beylik.
