Heraios

1st century BCE–1st century CE · 1st century BCE

Heraios was a ruler in Bactria known only from his coins, which were inscribed in Greek and show him in Hellenistic royal style with a steppe-style portrait. He probably reigned in the late 1st century BCE or early 1st century CE and was one of the Yuezhi lords; his coins call him a Kushan, but his relation to Kujula Kadphises is uncertain.
