Herceg Novi
Herceg Novi is a fortified port at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor in present-day Montenegro. Founded as Novi in 1382 by Tvrtko I of Bosnia, it was developed by Stjepan Vukčić Kosača, Herceg of Saint Sava, whose title gave the town its name. It fell to the Ottomans in 1482 and later passed to Venice in 1687.
