Hetu Ala

Also known as Hetuala

Hetu Ala was the walled settlement in Xinbin, Liaoning province, China, where Nurhaci proclaimed the Later Jin khanate in 1616. It served as his first capital before he moved his court to Liaoyang in 1621 and then to Shenyang. Nearby is the Yongling tomb of Nurhaci's ancestors, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Ming and Qing imperial tombs.
