Hod Hill
Hod Hill is a large Iron Age hillfort near Blandford Forum in Dorset, England, and one of the strongholds of the Durotriges. After the Roman invasion of 43 CE it was captured, and a Roman fort was built inside one corner of its ramparts, garrisoned by legionaries and auxiliary cavalry for several years. Its well-preserved earthworks make it an important site for studying the conquest.
