House of Sternberg
The House of Sternberg (Šternberk) is an old Czech noble family, recorded from the 13th century and named after Český Šternberk Castle in central Bohemia, which it still owns. Its members included Kaspar Maria von Sternberg, a founder of the National Museum in Prague. In 1780 a branch inherited the Eifel lands of Manderscheid-Blankenheim by marriage.
