Hrvoje's Missal

c. 1404 · 15th century · Also known as Missal of Hrvoje

Hrvoje's Missal is a Croatian liturgical book written in the Glagolitic script around 1403–1404 in Split for Hrvoje Vukčić Hrvatinić, Grand Duke of Bosnia and Duke of Split. Copied by the scribe Butko, it is richly illuminated with miniatures in a mixed Gothic and Byzantine style. It is one of the finest Croatian medieval manuscripts and is kept in the Topkapı Palace library in Istanbul.
