Jilin
Jilin is a province of north-eastern China, bordering North Korea and Russia, with its capital at Changchun. Its lands were part of the ancient kingdoms of Buyeo, Goguryeo and Balhae, and later of Manchuria under the Qing dynasty, which long restricted Han Chinese settlement there. From 1932 to 1945 it formed part of the Japanese puppet state of Manchukuo.
