Joan II of Navarre

1312–1349 · 14th century

Joan II was queen of Navarre from 1328, the daughter of Louis X of France. Excluded from the French throne after her father's death, she was recognised in Navarre when the direct Capetian line ended, and ruled jointly with her husband Philip of Évreux. Their son Charles II, called the Bad, succeeded her.
