Kabompo River

The Kabompo is a river of north-western Zambia, a major tributary of the upper Zambezi. It rises near the watershed with the Congo basin and flows south-west through woodland to join the Zambezi. Its headwaters were settled from the 18th century by Lunda groups, including the Ndembu chiefdom of Kanongesha.
