Kamabolon
The Kamabolon is a sacred house at Kangaba in southern Mali, associated with the Keita clan, the royal lineage of the Mali Empire. Every seven years its thatched roof is ceremonially replaced in a festival at which griots recite the history of the Mande, including the epic of Sundiata. The ceremony was inscribed on UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage in 2009.
