Kaogong ji
The Kaogong ji is an ancient Chinese technical treatise on crafts, preserved as the last section of the Rites of Zhou in place of a lost chapter. It describes some thirty trades, including chariot building, bronze casting with set alloy proportions, weapon making and the plan of an ideal royal capital. Probably compiled in the Warring States period, it is often thought to come from the State of Qi.
