Karang Brahi inscription
The Karang Brahi inscription is a Srivijayan stone inscription in Old Malay, found in 1904 on the upper Merangin river in Jambi, Sumatra. Undated, it is usually placed close to the Kota Kapur inscription of 686 because its curse formula is almost the same. It records Srivijaya's authority over the Jambi region, the former heartland of the Melayu kingdom.
