K'inich Tatbu Skull IV

fl. c. 808 · 9th century

K'inich Tatbu Skull IV was the last known king of the Maya city of Yaxchilan, recorded on Lintel 10 around 808. That inscription records his capture of K'inich Yat Ahk II, the last known king of the rival city of Piedras Negras. Yaxchilan was abandoned soon after his reign as the Classic Maya kingdoms collapsed.
