Ksar es-Seghir

Also known as Alcácer Ceguer

Ksar es-Seghir is a small coastal town on the Strait of Gibraltar in northern Morocco, between Tangier and Ceuta. A medieval port for crossings to Spain, it was captured by Portugal under Afonso V in 1458 and held until 1550. The excavated remains of its Islamic town and Portuguese fortress survive.
