Kumarbi Cycle
The Kumarbi Cycle is a group of Hittite mythological texts of Hurrian origin, preserved on tablets from the Hittite capital Hattusa. It tells how the god Kumarbi overthrew the sky god Anu and was in turn displaced by the storm god Teshub, and in the Song of Ullikummi how he tried to regain power. Its succession of warring gods closely parallels Hesiod's Theogony.
