Kyzyl
Kyzyl is the capital of the Republic of Tuva in southern Siberia, Russia, on the upper Yenisei river. It was founded by the Russians in 1914 as Belotsarsk, the administrative centre of the Uryankhay Krai, and was later renamed Kyzyl, 'red', as the capital of the Tuvan People's Republic. A monument there marks what is claimed to be the geographical centre of Asia.
