Late Middle Ages
The Late Middle Ages is the period of European and wider Eurasian history from about 1300 to about 1500. It saw expanding long-distance trade, the Black Death and major political changes. Accounts of the Mongol Empire note that Mongol patronage of commerce and communication laid foundations for the exchange networks of this period.
