Leicester
Leicester is a city in the East Midlands of England, on the River Soar. It began as Ratae Corieltauvorum, the Roman capital of the Corieltauvi, became an Anglo-Saxon bishopric and one of the Five Boroughs of the Danelaw, and grew into a county and market town. Richard III was buried there after the Battle of Bosworth in 1485, and his remains were rediscovered in 2012.
