Li County, Gansu

Also known as Lixian

Li County, or Lixian, is a county in Longnan in south-eastern Gansu, China, in the upper valley of the Western Han River. Excavations there, including large tombs at Dabuzishan attributed to early Qin rulers, show that a Qin elite was established in the area by the eighth century BCE. It is regarded as the early homeland of the Qin before they moved east into the Wei valley.
