Loyalist Instruction

The Loyalist Instruction is an ancient Egyptian teaching text of the Middle Kingdom, known from the stele of the official Sehetepibre and from later papyri. It urges loyalty to the king, presenting him as the source of life and prosperity, and then turns to the proper treatment of the workers on whom society depends. It shows literature serving royal ideology in the Twelfth Dynasty.
