Lubemba
Lubemba is the heartland of the Bemba people on the plateau of north-eastern Zambia, around the modern town of Kasama. It is the territory of the Chitimukulu, the Bemba paramount, and the site of the royal villages and burial groves. Bemba tradition holds that the founders of the royal Crocodile clan settled there after migrating from the Luba lands of the Congo basin.
