Luna Vasahi

1230 · 13th century

The Luna Vasahi is a white marble Jain temple dedicated to Neminatha in the Dilwara temple complex at Mount Abu, Rajasthan, India. It was built in 1230 by the minister Tejapala, brother of Vastupala, in memory of his son Lunasimha. Its ceilings and pillars are carved with extremely delicate marble ornament, and with the older Vimala Vasahi it is among the masterpieces of Jain architecture.
