Mabhoko
Mabhoko, known to the Boers as Mapoch, was king of the Ndzundza Ndebele in present-day Mpumalanga, South Africa, in the mid-19th century until his death in 1865. He rebuilt the kingdom after its defeat by Mzilikazi and made his fortress at KwaMaza, with its caves, a refuge that resisted attacks by the South African Republic. The caves later became known as Mapoch's Caves.
