Mamia III Gurieli
Mamia III Gurieli was Prince of Guria in western Georgia from 1689 until his death in 1714. Taking advantage of the dynastic wars of the neighbouring Kingdom of Imereti, he seized its throne several times between 1701 and 1713. His career illustrates the shifting struggles among the princes of western Georgia under Ottoman overlordship.
