Memory of the World Programme
The Memory of the World Programme is an initiative launched by UNESCO in 1992 to protect the world's documentary heritage and make it accessible. Its international register lists manuscripts, archives, books, films and recordings judged to be of world significance, such as the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty and the surviving volumes of the Bibliotheca Corviniana. Regional and national registers support the same aim.
