Person
Mikhail Ermolaevich
Mikhail Ermolaevich was a prince of Great Perm, the Komi land on the upper Kama, in the 15th century. A baptised ruler who served the Grand Duchy of Moscow while governing the local communities, he was taken prisoner when Ivan III sent an army that captured Cherdyn in 1472. Afterwards Moscow ruled Great Perm more directly, though his son Matvei was later allowed to rule as prince.
