Molokans

The Molokans are a Russian Spiritual Christian sect that emerged in the 18th century and rejects the Orthodox Church's priesthood, icons and sacraments. Persecuted in the Russian Empire, many were resettled in the 19th century in Transcaucasia, including the Mughan steppe and Armenia. Some emigrated to the United States in the early 20th century, settling especially in California.
