Morava (river)
The Morava, called the March in German, is a river of central Europe that rises in the north of the Czech Republic and flows south about 350 kilometres through Moravia, to which it gives its name, before joining the Danube near Bratislava. Its lower course forms the borders between the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria, and its valley was the centre of Great Moravia in the 9th century.
