Mount Batten

Mount Batten is a small peninsula on the eastern side of Plymouth Sound in Devon, England. Excavations have shown it was a trading port in the late Bronze Age and Iron Age, linking south-west Britain with Brittany and the Atlantic coasts of Europe through the exchange of metals and other goods. In the 20th century it was the site of a Royal Air Force flying-boat station.
