Munger
Munger, formerly Monghyr, is a city on the south bank of the Ganges in Bihar, India. In the early medieval period it was an important centre of the Pala Empire, where royal grants were issued from a victory camp, and near it the Pratihara Nagabhata II defeated the Pala king Dharmapala in the early ninth century. In the 1760s the Nawab of Bengal Mir Qasim made it his capital, and it was later known for its fort and gun-making.
