Mušov
Mušov is a former village in southern Moravia, Czech Republic, now flooded by the Nové Mlýny reservoirs, whose surroundings hold important remains of the Roman period. On the nearby hill of Burgstall Roman forces built a fortified base during the Marcomannic Wars of the 2nd century CE, and in 1988 a rich Germanic princely grave was found nearby. Together they show close contact between Rome and the Marcomanni and Quadi north of the Danube.
